I just finished booking another wedding from the bridal fair we did a month back. Cheyenne and Shane are a very cute couple whom I am pleased to have met and really enjoy talking to them.

I will be shooting their engagements next wednesday and their wedding this November 14th.

A month away!!! Woo Hoo!!!

We have been asked time and time again to teach photographers how we photograph certain subjects. We played around the idea of a photoclub. Which we run on a monthly basis.

We also have been asked by many people how we photograph from people not in Tennessee. So we will be creating some how to videos of our adventures with many of our clients.

Not only will they be posted here on our blog, but also many of the more technical teaching videos will be available for sale through our online shopping cart.

We will also be creating some how to videos with Photoshop, Lightroom and other programs we use for workflow, editing, special effects and turnaround.

Most of you know that I am almost 100% natural light. I use occasional reflectors to remove shadows. I also use an on-camera flash from time to time at wedding receptions.

Well... I've been asked more times than not if I have the ability to photograph large indoor groups or studio type portraits. I've weighed the cost and options and I've even borrowed some other photographer's lights from time to time.

I ordered the lights last week and I just recieved them yesterday. I've played around with them enough to know they are a vaulable asset to creating some amazing images. It's not that I haven't used them before. I just haven't had a big enough need from clients to use them as much.

We love light!!! As photographer's know... Light can either make or break a photo. It can also mean the difference between an ok photo and a moment captured in time forever that someone will remember forever. Good light can make a sale or break your clients confidence in your abilities as a profesional photographer. Sometimes lights are not necessary but other times light modifiers are.

We will be going on location with our model search and creating some videos so you can see the difference that light makes. What type of lights we want to use as well as how to set up and create some fun images.

I am on the look-out for some test models to create some very high end on lacation and studio shots for some amazing images and video tutorials.

I've had some really good questions today reguarding my new blog.

So here are some of the answers.

Yes I will be postiong all of my Lee University Work HERE.

My blog was getting so much sports postings that that people thought I didn't shoot weddings any more. We still photograph wedddings, portraits, models, children, pets, events, engagements, parties, landscapes, wildlife, etc... Just easier to have a seperate blog.

I now have…two…blogs.The new blog is called “Lee Sports Photos”, and it’s a photoblog I’m doing as part of my job over with Lee University. I was fortunate that my previous blog at Vision Studios Photography was read by the Lee University folks, and when they brought me on board one of the things they wanted me to establish was a similar presence.“Lee Sports Photos” will, of course, be solely focused on the Lee Flames. I hope to share behind-the-scenes images as well as game photos.

Our Online Shopping cart has been down for almost a month now and It's been a frustrating ordeal. But please rest assured that it will be up and running within the next couple of days.

We're in the process of reinstalling the whole site and starting over. This will take time to get everyones photos up and in their categories. But it will happen... Soon.

The Bridal Expo was an absolute fun time. I met so many newly engaged couples it was amazing. I also met some really nice vendors there as well.

Many people thought it was going to be small and not a very big turn out. It was my first time actually advertising our photography to the community other than word of mouth.... I was completely amazed at the amount of people that showed up and registered and came by our table.

I was so caught of guard that maybe I didn't bring enough packages with me or wedding specials.
but once the smoke settled down I had just enough for everyone that came by.

I had such an amazing time that I know we will be doing this again.
